The objective of the proposed intervention is an additional quality of open spaces in the inner city of göppingen respecting the existing potentials. the kornhausplatz will undergo a new interpretation as a the city’s living room with a new atmosphere. Next to space for recreation without urge to consume, a new shady site for gastronomy is being developed. The open space yet an inner court yard and open space at a time creates an atmospheric quality and provides the public a place for retreat. It serves as an additional open space to the market place and the new center of Göppingen as a place to impress and to be discovered. The access will be optimised and the kornhausplatz will be established as a meeting place and starting point for sight seeing tours.
