a new city centre will be given to the city of puchheim where institutions like a library, an elementary school and a music school will set up until 2022. the mission is to upgrade the central green space called kennedy-meadow and to transform it into a key feature of the new neighborhood. a thorough analysis was indispensable to integrate all functions, including a parking deck, in the project area. Playful interactions such as a temporary ice-skating rink and regular meetings with a target group allowed to gather needs and expectations of the future users in an intensive participatory process. as a result, the kennedy-park morphes into a hill landscape, with additional space for ball and recreational games at the bottom and a large parking deck underneath the new topography. The kennedy-meadow is transformed in a new meeting point for all generations of puchheimers.
