The development along Aubinger Allee features hybrid construction with building heights ranging from 3 to 6 stories. Diverse communal facilities such as workshops, rooftop gardens, a playroom, and a reading gallery foster social interaction and engagement.
A vibrant ground floor in the microcity leads to a spacious green courtyard. A planned gastronomic venue with a store will predominantly offer regional and seasonal products from organic farming, contributing significantly to a lively and sustainable neighborhood. The open space supports the spatial structure of an extensive communal environment with distinctive and versatile spaces. The design rigorously advances the initial concept developed through variations and collaboration with the building group. A central feature is the generous courtyard devoid of fire access lanes, characterized by the 'wagnisWEST Hölzl', which includes play areas and an orchard. Serving as a unifying element for the community, small gardening units such as permaculture or vegetable beds can emerge under the fruit trees, depending on the engagement of the housing cooperative as the project progresses and gradually grows after moving in. Towards the microcity, the orchard area, complemented by seating steps, forms a clear delineation between communal space and public realm.
